How can I edit psd files in Pixelmator Pro? - Pixelmator Community.
This behaviour is different between Pixelmator and Pixelmator Pro. In Pixelmator, the text tool will always create new text. To edit existing text, click on it once with the Move Tool the default arrow to select it and again to edit it. I can change the font-size, the font and make it bold or italic, but I can't get any text into the field.
I restarted Pixelmator several times and created new documents, just to test it, but it was the same every time. Just, if you're wondering: when I deselect the textfield and type on my keyboard, Pixelmator begins to select the different tools, associated with the different keys. Pixelmator seems to get input from my keyboard If you're still having this issue, simply update to the latest version of Pixelmator.
Hi there, it sounds like you're having the same issue as the people in this thread: viewtopic. I'd generally advise avoiding beta versions of macOS as these kinds of issues can pop up from time to time, so if you need Pixelmator and other apps to function reliably, stick to the stable, public releases. I can move once in it with the arrow keys, but won't delete any of it.
Then once I select out of it, it goes back to normal where I click any key and it'll shortcut to that key's tool. Very weird, every other tools works just can't type. It's almost as if its stuck somehow. I can change its font and every property of the text, just not the very text. I don't know what to try next. Davin Bujalski. Pixelmator Community. Follow thread.
